Are Participants to Experience Adaptive or should we be Alpine Educators?

Delivered by Marcus Upton and Geoff Krill

The joint lecture from BASI and PSIA will show the correlation between the Alpine Fundamental Elements and Adaptive snowsport teaching, the adaptive equipment used and seen on the mountains.

This lecture will focus on the teaching of existing alpine instructors that adaptive snowsports is no different to what already exists via their Alpine Manuals.

Our systems are all skills based and not set out entirely for snowsport experiences. We as educators set out to teach clients through skills, which does not result in adaptive skiing being a specific way.
In this lecture, we will explore a variety of skills we can use to ski in different styles and discuss the importance of adaptability via existing Alpine Fundamental Elements.
